About Us
Our history
Mediation Leadership grew out of preparations for the Asia Pacific Mediation Leadership Summit, held in Bangkok on 2–4 December 2011 under the umbrella of the Asia Pacific Mediation Forum.
The initiative brought together mediation, conflict transformation and peacebuilding practitioners, researchers, educators and policymakers to share experience and develop practical approaches to addressing conflict. Its theme—From Talk to Action—expressed the ambition to turn dialogue into collaborative action.
Alongside the summit, an online collaborative platform connected contributors across the region, supporting the development of action themes and cross-cutting topics. These beginnings established Mediation Leadership’s roots in collaboration, shared learning and practical action..
Our mission
Our mission is to advance mediation, conflict transformation and peacebuilding by connecting people across cultures and sectors, strengthening collaborative leadership, and turning shared knowledge into practical action for peaceful and inclusive societies.
Our team
Mediation Leadership is organised as a networked platform of professionals, led by Martine Miller, Owner and Principal. It brings together expertise in mediation, conflict transformation, peacebuilding and collaborative leadership.
This flexible model allows us to assemble teams around the needs of each assignment, drawing on complementary skills, regional knowledge and cultural understanding. We work collaboratively with clients and partners to turn dialogue into practical action.
